The Badlands Adventure.

We had a family fun day at Drumheller! We went to the Royal Tyrrell Museum and had a blast looking at the dinosaurs and fossils. The scenery was breathtaking and the weather was beautiful, though about 10 degrees too hot for my taste.

The kids loved the ball room. The balls go into these vacuum devices and shoot up into the air. There are giant flowers in the room and the balls represent pollen and fertilization of the plants. The kids had so much fun in that room.

Ella went bananas for this bubble wall. It was this wall with tubes of water with bubbles going up it. The wall changed colors and was so bright and captivating, especially for a 2 year old.

Pics from look out.

The World's Largest Dinosaur! We walked up the internal stairway to the very top, where we can stand in his mouth and look out. Kiefer's favorite part of the trip was this giant dinosaur. We counted the stairs on the way down and got ~ 107. It was a tough stair climb up considering it was 30 degrees outside, but a lot nicer walk downstairs into the air conditioned gift shop.Right in front of the gigantic dino, is a splash park. We had a quick refresher before leaving Drumheller.

After Drumheller, we hit up the new Cross Iron Mills mall in Airdrie region. We checked out the Bass Pro Shops and the kids got hats. Ella loved hers so much she wore it to bed. Both kids were completely tuckered out by the time we got home. Oh, so tired.
